何以在打造优质系列IP的基础上,做出比前作更“香”的续作,更得到海内外年轻人的一致共鸣?


潜移默化的陪伴式成长,“成长”在哪儿?


接到《二十不惑2》的拍摄工作时,导演黎志在当下并没有太多兴奋的情绪,是一种意料之内的顺理成章,在设想的时间里发生了。


第一部仍在拍摄时,黎志就和总制片人以及团队的小伙伴聊到过,这群年轻人的故事说不定可以多拍几部,跨越整个20代际,记录下这批人的成长记忆,也为观众打造沉浸式的陪伴感。


此后,黎志也时不时会听见团队的人提及“导演,要动了,可以准备(开拍)了”,所以在去年年初得到确切开拍通知时,比起开工的兴奋,他更高兴能陪伴这群主人公展开一段新的人生画卷。



对黎志来说,第一部是一个完全的原创故事,他与主创团队共同创造了这些角色。而到了第二部开拍之前,他则是先作为“观众”,从剧本里读到了这些角色在三年时间里的成长。或许新的故事和他曾经想象的不太一样,但他完全能够理解这些女孩是如何一步步长大。


自己对新故事有了认同感之后,黎志也很希望观众能够在看到熟悉的角色归来时,又能从中得到一些新鲜的观剧体验。所以第二部开拍前,他思考最多的问题就是:如何做出熟悉的新鲜感?


“比如我们在梁爽和赵优秀的人物关系里投射了一种新的感情观,当两个人还爱着对方,但却在一点一滴汇成的生活洪流里发现,自己的人生已经因为这份爱,而和曾经规划的未来相去甚远,那么在爱和人生面前,我们应该做出怎样的选择?”

黎志认为这是一种有别于年轻冲动的、更为成熟的情感关系,25岁的轻熟年纪里或许应该可以懂得、甚至面对这种可能性。起初拍摄时,黎志不太确定观众是否能在这条感情线上有所共情,幸好播出后观众给出了“理解、珍重”的反馈。


同样通过情感模式的变化体现出成长的,还有姜小果。在第一部的故事里,姜小果与导师型上司周寻的“寻果CP”人气颇高,在第二部中“被洗牌”,姜小果身边的男性换成了同龄的齐颂,黎志对此直指“情有可原”。


“刚刚踏入职场的实习生姜小果,很容易被散发智慧光芒的男性吸引,这是她在那个年纪时,因为慕强心理所致。第二部的姜小果已经有了几年的社会经验和人生阅历,甚至在‘寻果CP’的情感经历里也有所体悟,她对异性的视角逐渐从仰望变成了平视。此时齐颂的出现,让两个势均力敌但又南辕北辙的灵魂碰撞到一起,擦出了棋逢对手的情感火花。”



每个人物在第二部里必然都有所成长,比如段家宝这样的富二代,在第一部本来成就理想成为了经纪人之后,又因为家道中落重新进入社会适应生存法则;再比如“石头”罗艳在苦闷的职场体验中选择出国深造……


第二部的故事发生在第一部之后的三年,三年时间足够让一个年轻人对自己的未来做出许多新的决定。


年轻的女性群像题材,如何“扎实”?


其实黎志作为导演,过往作品里不乏与《二十不惑》系列相似的年轻女性群像题材。他笑说是巧合,只是在巧合之后,也是他本人对现实向的故事有表达的冲动和欲望,才促成了这些作品。


“现实题材,尤其是和年轻人有关的,我觉得它是可以有比较高于现实的情节和桥段,但人物基础的情感逻辑脉络一定会是现实的,而不会悬浮于生活以外。”


段家宝在本季故事里,突如其来的家庭巨变改变了她原来的人生轨迹,成为本剧中经历起伏最跌宕的角色。看似是“戏剧化”了,但当她哭着感慨“烤肠竟然要五块钱一根,一千块可以买200根烤肠,真的好多啊”,观众瞬间能够通过角色视角,感受年轻人的生存重压。



第二部的故事里,有人物不舍退场,也有新人物出现。


新的女孩丁一煊,一个虽然没有谈过恋爱,但爱嗑CP、会写小说的斜杠青年,没有大野心、自带田园感。这些都是当代年轻人身上越来越频繁出现的标签,所以丁一煊这个角色,更像是创作者紧跟时代潮流、在敏锐洞察了集体情绪和社会分工变化后,打造出的更贴合年轻观众的新角色。


于是,当丁一煊出现时,会有更多在看剧的“丁一煊们”自动进入状态,好奇“自己”会发展出怎样的故事。


黎志想通过让丁一煊展现的,是新一代年轻人在逐渐需要面对两性话题时的思考方式,具体表现为这一代年轻人,即便恋爱了也希望在亲密关系里更注重个体感受,并且始终保留属于自己的一片私密自留地。

同样的做法在该剧中经常出现。比如主人公之间的友情一直都是很多观众向往的,但当第二部的故事里,主人公们毕业三年后,都有了自己的收入可以独立租房,也不再被“宿舍”这样的场景强绑定之后,该如何再将她们聚拢而展现“团魂”?


黎志选择给梁爽、姜小果、段家宝与丁一煊这四名女孩,一个循序渐进、非一蹴而就的同居过程。这个过程不仅是为了让观众相信她们为什么需要同居,更是让角色们可以慢慢相处磨合,然后才能令观众相信:越发独立的年轻社会人,凭什么可以很好地实现无血缘的群居生活,一起嬉笑怒骂,一起玩笑流泪。


宏观来看,第二部的故事情节是依赖了人物在事业和情感方面的动因向前推动,这样的群居生活却又暗藏了更多关于女性关系的细腻变化和探讨。


“为什么梁爽入住602的时候没有选择通知段家宝和姜小果两位老同学,而是选择和新朋友丁一煊商量?首先,确实也是丁一煊坦诚欢迎梁爽入住602;其次,从梁爽的角度来看,她不管是先通知段家宝还是姜小果,多少都有些厚此薄彼的味道,这是女生在处理闺蜜关系时一种微妙的分寸感。”



诸如此类的细小情节可能不是主线,但又随处可见,最后落实了“友情”如何维系,毕竟人与人之间的相处,无论何种感情,落到寻常生活里,都得彼此迁就,只是迁就的方式与分寸不同,这种做法可以让女性群像从根本上避免“塑料感”。


二次生长,片方、演员、创作者的三方融合


《二十不惑2》如今播出将半,作为续作可以好评连连甚至超越前作,是大部分观众始料未及的,虽然黎志作为主要创作者,可能对此已经有所感知,但在播出之前,他亦不敢妄言。


专注描述年轻女性生活的现实题材素来稀缺,除了炙热鲜明的青春校园剧之外,“年轻”也常被误认为是缺乏阅历、不足以品味的。黎志反而觉得这很有趣,尤其是挖掘年轻人的过程,他很享受。


“这个年龄段的演员本身比较年轻,通常都入行不久或者处在上升期,可能自己也在寻找做演员的方向。如何能把年轻的她们塑造成有厚度的角色,或者是让她们的表现方式更鞭辟入里,我个人的方法就是和她们玩在一起。”



打入这些年轻女孩子的群体,不止在工作上,在生活上也多玩多交流,真正看见她们内心的东西,就能在工作所需时,随时用属于演员个人的特质填补角色的个性,完成效果更好的二度创作。


第二部的效果优于第一部,也正是因为黎志与女孩们的相处有了第一部的基础,第二部拍摄时,他已经对每个人有所了解。


罗艳的25岁生日,宿舍四人在重重波折后重聚,一起许愿吹蜡烛。黎志看见的是,四位演员拍摄当天也是该剧入组后的第一次重聚,本身就因好久不见而非常兴奋,便干脆让她们在台词之后释放自己当下的情绪,去沙滩上闹腾玩耍,接着携手踏浪。画面里呈现的,说不清是角色的情绪还是演员的情绪,总之观众体会到了感情的真切。


除了与演员合作更有默契,与制片公司合作亦如此。这一次,黎志明显感受到沟通成本的减少,合作更为顺畅,“有太多无需多言的地方也被安排得非常妥帖。”


真正成熟的公司,在他看来应该就是像柠萌影业一样,拥有明确的标准化作业模式,在导演进入之前的筹备阶段,制片人与编剧都有了早于导演的、对当下市场所需内容的考量,替导演省去了不必要的麻烦,以至于比起第一部拍摄前还在探讨人物的行为动机,黎志在初次接触第二部剧本时就明确看清了人物形象与各自的成长路径,导演只需要专注于通过影视化表达让核心内容触达观众层面。



自认与《二十不惑》系列一起成长了的黎志,在对话最后畅想起未来,如果还有机会和这几名女孩见面,又将会在何时何地?


“不知道会不会有其中一个或者两个人真的会进入婚姻、家庭生活。不过我觉得,任何时候见到她们,都一定能在她们身上看见更加新鲜有趣的人生课题。”
