From September 13 to 14, Yantai Vocational College welcomed more than 5,900 new students in the Class of 2022, with the highest enrollment in nearly three years. Among them, 330 students score more than Shandong province, the quality of students steadily rising, the number of admission professional, the number of admission plan, admission scores, are among the province's leading vocational colleges.

This year, Yantai Vocational College enrollment professional 55, general class admission average score of more than 400 points. Accounting information management, intelligent robot technology and prefabricated building engineering technology are new specialties. Among the many popular majors in Yantai Vocational College, Applied Chemical Technology as a new major in the school in recent years, the momentum of development, the number of students increased year by year, the number of students enrolled this year reached 278. Since 2018, Yantai Vocational College has teamed up with Wanhua chemical power to set up wanhua order class for applied chemical technology majors. The class aims to build the major on the industry and achieve a win-win situation for the university, the enterprise and the students, the annual salary of students after graduation is not less than 100,000 yuan. In August, Wanhua Industrial College, a vocational college in Yantai, unveiled its first class of 2022. “The training model of Wanhua class is very attractive to me. I hope to learn skills and strong skills through classroom study and enterprise practice,” said Li haoyan, a chemical technology application major.

Zhao FANGRU, an advertising art design major in the Department of Art Design and Public Administration, scored 469 on the Gaokao, the highest score for admission to the school, after she delayed reporting due to the outbreak. On the live line, she expressed her feelings of regret and anticipation, “I really want to go to school. It's a pity that I can't register on time. I've learned about the scenery and cultural atmosphere of the school, and I like it very much. I hope that I can study hard, make friends, and improve myself here in the next three years.”

学校汽车与船舶工程系精心筹备了“敲锣打鼓领取果上祝福”活动。敲锣代表“一鸣惊人”，打鼓代表“一鼓作气”；苹果、西红柿、橘子、梨四色水果分别寓意“苹安好运”“柿事顺心”“橘祥如意”“梨想成真”，表达学校对2022级新同学的期盼和祝福。

数字化迎新也是一大亮点，学校利用“烟职在线”App进一步打通多部门业务，指导新生进行居家防护 、对新生“应检尽检”人员进行摸排、统计新生报到信息、做好报到途中防护、组建网络班级、迎新数据实时监测等，精准掌握新生报到数据，确保全部新生安全入校。
